Even with Rubicon Trail Maps and Rubicon Area Books, people still get lost on the Rubicon. So, the absolute best way to avoid getting lost is to use the GPS Coordinates for the Rubicon. You may reference these points listed on these two downloadable maps. (Be patient, files are fairly large.)
