Rubicon Area Lodging, Dining, & Bars |
If you want a place to stay close to the Rubicon Trail, in the mountains, we highly recommend Icehouse Resort, run by Bob and Julie Siebert. Call them at (530) 293-3321. If you talk nice and smile, Julie will make you breakfast and dinner, and even pack a trail lunch. Rooms are great for a good night's rest before or after the trail, and reasonably priced. Two folks can share a room with a nice clean bathroom/shower, for about $30 each.
There's also a bar and pool table there. You can even park your tow rig there for a moderate fee, and Bob will keep an eye on it for you. It's HIGH on our list and we recommend you give it a shot next time you are at the Rubicon Trail.
